Aunt Stacey's Cats: Malcolm, Ninja, Tuna, & SharkMy client might have thought I was a little bonkers. I got so much enjoyment out of watching these boys helping themselves to lots of treats and catnip. I had just finished their claw trims. Seeing them all so calm and confident epitomizes how I believe cat grooming experiences can be, given enough love, patience, respect, time, and treat assortment!

Shark, that cute tabby at the top right, is a very shy young kitty. The other cats in this home now greet me eagerly when I arrive. Shark’s mom carries him to me when it’s his turn. Once he’s in my arms, he purrs and accepts my brief intrusion on his paws while enjoying the cheek rubs and chin scritches, He nibbles on a few treats, then typically bolts once I open the door.

On this visit, he hung around through it all. I was beyond thrilled!! I wish you could have seen him rolling in the loose catnip. He was ridiculously blissed out and super adorable!! Even when I turned on my hand vac to clean up the mess, he only went so far as the top of the steps leading downstairs a mere few feet away. He waited there watching me finish, then came back in to see if I left anything. Wow! Yay! Awesome Sauce! We’ve made tremendous progress together. I anticipate him continuing to be more comfortable with future positive interactions. And I’m confident I will continue to fall more madly in love with him and his fabulous feline housemates.

I sure am grateful there are cats in this world.
